LG Electronics (LG) announced that its total revenue in 2022 reached 83.5 trillion won (US$ 64.7 billion) and its operating profit was 3.6 trillion won (US$ 2.8 billion).

After the total revenue exceeded 70 trillion won (US$ 54.2 billion) for the first time in 2021, LG reached a new high in 2022, breaking through the 80 trillion won (US$ 62 billion) mark, an increase of 12.9% compared with last year. Although the global economy is full of challenges and affects the annual profit, the record-breaking sales still reflect LG's continuous growth with a solid foundation.

The revenue growth in 2022 can be attributed to the strong demand for high-end household appliances and automotive parts. The Household Appliances and Air Solutions Division has been growing substantially for seven consecutive years, while the LG Automotive Components Solutions Division turned losses into profits in 2022, and its performance in the automotive industry improved steadily, with its revenue exceeded 10% of LG's total revenue for the first time.

The continuous recovery of monitors made the revenue of LG Commercial Solutions Division reach 6.1 trillion won (US$ 4.7 billion) in 2022, an increase of 11.2% over the previous year. However, due to the decrease in demand for personal computers and screens in the post-epidemic era, the annual operating profit declined. Looking ahead, LG will enhance the competitiveness of personal computers and screens, and develop more customized solutions in order to achieve steady growth in the B2B market.
